At Morgan Crucible we believe our social responsibilities
are underpinned by our five strategic priorities. We believe in working in partnership with our employees, customers and the communities in which we operate to ensure that we conduct our business fairly and with due consideration for our stakeholders.
Customers
We aim to provide products and services of the highest technical standards appropriate to our customers’ own requirements. This involves staying close to customers and responding quickly to changing customer demand. building effective relationships that allow needs to be identified early and to improve product availability, quality and value. It is about taking pride in our work, products and company and being accountable for our actions.
Employees
We require all employees to act in an ethical manner both within the Company and in dealings with other organisations, and to comply with all applicable laws and Company policies. We encourage employees to avoid outside activities which conflict with their responsibilities to Morgan Crucible. They are not allowed to offer, give, solicit or receive payments, gifts or favours which may be construed as a bribe, whether directly or indirectly or in any form.
We are also fully committed to our employees feeling that working at Morgan Crucible is rewarding. We encourage our employees to achieve their full potential and to participate in their own development. To this end, we invest in our people at all levels.
Suppliers and business partners
We are committed to working with our suppliers and business partners in mutually beneficial ways, and, so far as is practicable, we require that our customers and suppliers throughout the supply chain and our joint-venture partners and contractors act in accordance with our values and policies.
The wider community
Our practice is to engage with local communities in relation to matters of mutual interest and concern. At a local level, where Morgan Crucible often has long-established roots and is frequently a major employer, this helps to foster mutual understanding and credibility. We strive to be a valued member of the communities in which we have operations; to respect local culture and to be sensitive to local issues and aware of wider community and governmental issues. We support genuine community initiatives and in addition to the time given to community projects and for charitable purposes by our employees around the world, we also make charitable donations.
