Pablo Esteras - Development Engineer

Pablo

I joined Morgan Crucible as a Technical Engineer in August 2007 straight from University working on the Piezo bimorph actuator production line. My main focus initially was to help set up the various process equipment on the production line, training the operators, and providing technical support for the products. It was exciting to be working on meaningful projects from the start. The experiences I have had have allowed me to explore my academic background in a real life setting. I graduated from the Zaragoza Engineering University (Spain) in Industrial Electronic Engineering. I completed the final project for my degree’ at Glyndwr University (UK) on a microcontroller based system for renewable energy applications.

On a daily basis I am asked to provide technical and engineering support for production which can include production routings / workflow, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Additionally, one of my responsibilities is to develop and design new piezo components and transfer them into production. I recently worked on the development of an energy harvesting floor system, using piezo bimorph actuators for wireless applications as part of a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP). It's incredibly exciting working for a company which has projects, such as Morgan Crucible, which are at the leading edge of technology.

The international conferences bring together Morgan Crucible graduates from our different businesses. They focus on exploring our Company’s strategy. They provide the opportunity for networking with senior leaders. They encourage personal and career development.
