Technical Ceramics focuses on niche opportunities within selected target markets around the world, including: 

Aerospace: we produce braze alloys for engine build and repair, ceramic components and sub-assemblies for engine monitoring and control equipment. Our Certech business manufactures cores used in the casting of turbine blades.

Domestic products: we make components for a range of household electrical goods and domestic heating systems.

Electronics: we develop components for laser and optoelectronic devices; for hand-held, land-based and satellite communications equipment and networks for the telecommunications sector; for PCs, servers, data storage and a range of peripheral equipment for IT hardware producers.

Industrial: our components are used in a wide variety of processing and manufacturing equipment to achieve electrical insulation and to combat wear, corrosion and extreme temperatures.

Medical: we produce components and sub-assemblies for a broad range of application niches, primarily within medical devices, including implants and prosthetics.

Power Generation and Distribution: Ceramic cores used in the casting of turbine blades for Industrial Gas Turbines. Various insulators and ceramic / metal assemblies used in switchgear and HV Capacitors used in distribution lines.
